Iris brings 2 years of Quantity Surveying experience, and she has been assisting the team on multiple projects ranging from bank QS, Engineering to Contract (ETC), estimates and project QS services. Having worked in the public sectors in New Zealand for over 14 years, including StudyLink of the Ministry of Social Development (MSD), and Immigration New Zealand of Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE), Iris understands the importance of delivering efficient, client-focused services and ensuring robust, transparent processes that meet the diverse needs of the community.
Iris is fluent in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese.
· Prepared up to 14 drawdown reports for residential and commercial projects, of approx. $60m development costs, and effectively liaised with the associated lenders, developers, borrowers, and project managers for questions and inquiries.
· Proficient at using Cost X for measuring and estimating.
· Prepared and generated estimates of residential and commercial buildings, for private and government agencies.
· Assisted the QS Team with ETC and Project QS services, and prepared progress claim reports.
· Experience in assisting the QS Team with SoQ and report writing.
· Attended site visits for insurance flood claims and estimation.
· Prepared tender submissions and actively looked for tendering opportunities at the NZ Government Electronic Tenders Services (GETS).
· Understood project requirements and gathered pertinent information.
